What I've Built
From concept to shipped product.
When I see a problem worth solving, I build something—leveraging AI to move from concept to shipped code faster. Some of these tools embed AI capabilities too, turning complexity into conversation.
Including this site—100% custom coded, AI-leveraged, built by me for you.
GovernIQ
ScreenshotsEHR governance involves multiple committees, complex workflows, and dozens of stakeholders. Teams waste time navigating processes.
Activiteez
ScreenshotsSenior living facilities juggle activities across buildings, track inventory, manage events, and need attendance tracking. Spreadsheets fail.
Sophia
Live DemoPeople get lost navigating complex EHR governance processes. They need answers, not documentation.
VytalPath Academy
Live DemoNew front office staff face overwhelming first days. Medical jargon, insurance workflows, HIPAA—all at once causes turnover.
My Approach
The CLEAR Framework
A phase-by-phase approach ensuring nothing falls through the cracks—from problem understanding through successful adoption.
Understand the problem deeply. Review business case, identify stakeholders, assess current state, ensure alignment on success.
Commit to scope and success metrics. Define boundaries, confirm timeline, establish governance, get explicit sign-off.
Design the solution. Facilitate sessions, create specifications, ensure enterprise standards, document decisions.
Validate through testing. Conduct UAT, support training materials, track defects, confirm go-live readiness.
Go live with support. Monitor adoption, address issues quickly, document lessons learned, transition to operations.

Between the Clicks
The Hidden Work of Healthcare Informatics
Healthcare informatics isn't just about optimizing EHRs—it's about making technology work for people. About ensuring workflows make sense and guiding teams through change.
This isn't a textbook. It's a guide, a mentor, and a roadmap.
The Person
Beyond the resume.
Married 23 years. Two grown sons—ages 20 and 22. My oldest recently married an amazing woman, and they've given me an adorable one-year-old grandson. Yes, I'm a grandma.
I grew up in Santa Cruz, California, riding my beach cruiser around town so carefree that I didn't bother getting my driver's license until I was 18. As a kid, I had an artistic flair—though it took decades for that to show up in my career.
When my kids were young, staying home didn't quite work out—we needed dual income. So I took an evening and weekend job at a local hospital and fell in love with healthcare IT. I knew I wanted more, but nursing wasn't for me, so I earned my Master's in Healthcare Administration.
Through a series of fortunate coincidences—including a Chief Nursing Officer asking me to help with an EMR update—I landed my first analyst role. The rest is history. I've been in healthcare IT ever since.
More recently, learning to leverage AI and build my own custom solutions has brought back that artistic flair. I love being able to work the entire process from beginning to end—seeing and diagnosing a problem, then architecting and building the solution myself. It's quite satisfying.
About ten years ago, we left Santa Cruz for the foothills of California's Gold Country, near Jackson. My husband and I love the country life—gardening, hanging out with my chickens, and enjoying the peace and quiet. My neighbor across the street has beautiful horses I get to admire every day.
How I Work
From problem to pathway.
Clear thinking, real partnership, and solutions that actually get implemented.
Listen
Deeply understand the real problem—not just symptoms.
Architect
Map people, process, and platform. Build stakeholder alignment.
Build
Execute thoughtfully—process redesign or technology implementation.
Sustain
Make sure it sticks. Solutions that work for humans.
Let's Connect
